Takoma Park Cooperative Nursery School is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and our ongoing work is to strengthen this commitment and improve our community. Our goal at the Cooperative School is to foster awareness, compassion, and honesty in righting injustice and working towards equity and anti-racism; to address a national culture of misogyny, bullying, and harassment; to cultivate an environment where individuals of all abilities can thrive; and to understand, support, and affirm LGBTQIA2S+.
We view this work through the lenses of family involvement, partnership with parents, community outreach, and ensuring access to nature for all children.
We must learn together to become the community we want to be.
