Step 1. Getting Ready. Ages and Stages!
There are two basic requirements for joining the Cooperative School. There is are age requirements for children and parent involvement requirements for adults.
Children who will turn 2 years old before September 1st are invited to apply to the Bugs (2s/3s) class. Children who will turn 3 years old before September 1st are invited to apply to the Leaves (3s/4s) class. Children who will turn 4 years old before September 1st are invited to apply for the Tracks (4s/5s) class.

Tip: Before completing applications, prospective families have found it helpful to attend an information session and classroom observation.
Deadlines for complete applications and deposits are firm. Applications and deposits must be received before the February 1, 3pm deadline to be considered.
Note: The 2019-2020 application will be posted here in late November 2018.
Step 5. What’s Next? Enrollment Decisions.
Initial admissions decisions are made in early February. Applications will be accepted throughout the year to fill any openings.
In guiding enrollment decisions, The Cooperative School looks for applicants that will
Sustain the School’s parent-participatory model and mission through volunteer service in the classroom and on committees that support the School’s day-to-day operations and growth.
Create class rosters that are balanced in age and reflect a diverse community.
Applicants from the previous school year who would like to be considered in the next admissions cycle should contact firstname.lastname@example.org to submit another application. The application fee will be waived.
