The Cooperative School collaborates with the City of Takoma Park to produce the Takoma Park Business Directory & Survival Guide. The Guide provides a comprehensive listing of businesses that serve our community as well as essential information on city services, schools, recreation, transportation, and other government resources.
Last year’s Guide listed more than 950 area businesses, from accountants to wrecking ball companies. In May of each year, families from our school hand-deliver more than 6,000 copies of the Guide to all houses and apartment buildings in Takoma Park. Additional copies are distributed to libraries and many other community locations for anyone to pick up.
Takoma Park is a unique city with a strong sense of community. Provided as a service to Takoma Park residents, The Takoma Park Business Directory & Survival Guide helps to foster this sense of community by encouraging residents to patronize local businesses. The ad revenue from the Guide also helps make it possible for our school, a community institution for more than sixty years, to create a wonderful learning experience for our children.

While all Takoma Park-based businesses are listed in the Guide free of charge, advertisements are a great way to put your advertising message into every household in Takoma Park.
