August 13, 2010Kit Gage visits The Cooperative School to begin a conversation about how to better understand our role in stormwater catchment and how we can take important steps to protect the Anacostia Watershed and the  Chesapeake Bay

July 22, 2010—Lesley Romanoff shares with Maria Navaratne, founder of e11 Studio Playschool, Manitou Springs, Colorado. e11 Studio Playschool presents a collaboration of the liberal arts and the professional discipline of early childhood education.

April 27, 2010—Lesley Romanoff welcomes early childhood teachers from the arts-catalyst District of Columbia Public School, Takoma Educational Center,  for a tour regarding The Cooperative School’s arts-integrated curriculum, Reggio-inspired practice, and classroom management.

April 23, 2010—Lesley Romanoff meets with graduate students from Trinity Washington University to tour and discuss family involvement modeled through our parent-participatory approach.

March 19, 2010—Lesley Romanoff and Andrea McDougall welcomes Board Members and Staff of the Colonial Nursery School, Annapolis’ only cooperative preschool, to The Cooperative School for a School tour and networking.

March 16, 2009—Andrea McDougall welcomes Trinity Washington University Master of Arts in Teaching students to The Cooperative School for a discussion and tour of The Cooperative School’s portfolio assessment practices

March 11, 2010—Lesley Romanoff leads a Reggio workshop, infusing visual art in daily practice and supporting curriculum content through art, Beginning the Conversation: Art Technique, at Takoma Educational Center, a DCPS Catalyst School with a focus on arts integration.

November 19, 2009—Lesley Romanoff and Andrea McDougall host the Parenting Cooperative Preschools International Networking Session at the National Association for the Education of Young Children Annual Conference (NAEYC) in Washington, DC.
